Like any photographer, I\u2019ve experimented with various gear to refine my style and meet the specific demands of automotive photography. At one point, I chose to work exclusively with prime lenses, which allowed me to explore new perspectives and achieve exceptional image quality. However, the need for versatility led me back to zoom lenses, especially during shoots where time to switch lenses is limited.<\/p><p>Loyal to Canon since the beginning of my career, this brand has always met my expectations with reliable equipment and user-friendly ergonomics. Its features gave me greater creative freedom, even though, at the time, it was already outpaced by market standards. Acquis d\u00e9but 2025 pour pallier les faiblesses que je rencontrais avec le 5D, il faut dire que l&rsquo;\u00e9cart technologique entre ces deux appareils est de 10 ans. Un foss\u00e9 que l&rsquo;on ressent d\u00e8s les premi\u00e8res prises en main. Apr\u00e8s plusieurs mois d&rsquo;utilisation, le R6 r\u00e9pond parfaitement \u00e0 mes attentes : une rafale impressionnante \u00e0 +40 images\/sec en obturateur \u00e9lectronique, un live-view ultra r\u00e9actif, un autofocus avec suivi des voitures et d\u00e9tection des visages humain tr\u00e8s efficace, et une mont\u00e9e en ISO tout simplement remarquable. Les seuls petits reproches que j&rsquo;aurais \u00e0 faire sont : l\u2019\u0153illeton \u00e9lectronique qui emp\u00eache de v\u00e9rifier le cadrage sans allumer le bo\u00eetier, et l\u2019obturateur m\u00e9canique, dont le d\u00e9clenchement induit un l\u00e9ger d\u00e9placement, rend pratiquement impossible l\u2019obtention de fil\u00e9s nets. En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, j&rsquo;ai deux couples favoris qui m&rsquo;accompagnent 80% du temps. Mon bo\u00eetier de pr\u00e9dilection est le Canon R6 mkII. La majeure partie du temps, je l&rsquo;associe au 70-200mm. Cette combinaison me permet de capturer des actions \u00e9loign\u00e9es tout en \u00e9tant suffisamment polyvalente pour des portraits et des d\u00e9tails, avec la possibilit\u00e9 de descendre \u00e0 70mm pour des sujets plus proches. Si je n&rsquo;utilise pas le 70-200mm, c&rsquo;est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement le 50mm qui est mont\u00e9 sur le R6. Fid\u00e8le \u00e0 Canon depuis mes d\u00e9buts, cette marque a toujours su r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 mes attentes, avec du mat\u00e9riel fiable et une ergonomie appr\u00e9ciable. \u00c0 travers cet article, je vais vous pr\u00e9senter le mat\u00e9riel de photographie automobile que j&rsquo;utilise r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement, en commen\u00e7ant par mes bo\u00eetiers, puis mes objectifs, et enfin quelques accessoires indispensables. les boitiers Canon EOS 550D Avant tout, je me devais de vous pr\u00e9senter le boitier qui a marqu\u00e9 mes d\u00e9buts en photographie. Il m&rsquo;a permis de me familiariser avec les bases de la prise de vue et d&rsquo;acqu\u00e9rir une premi\u00e8re exp\u00e9rience pr\u00e9cieuse. Bien qu&rsquo;il soit d\u00e9sormais un mod\u00e8le ancien, il reste un excellent choix pour les d\u00e9butants. Canon EOS 70D C&rsquo;est avec ce bo\u00eetier que j&rsquo;ai v\u00e9ritablement explor\u00e9 le monde de la photographie automobile. Ses fonctionnalit\u00e9s m&rsquo;ont offert une plus grande libert\u00e9 de cr\u00e9ation, bien que, \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque, il \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9pass\u00e9 par rapport aux standards du march\u00e9. Aujourd&rsquo;hui, je l&rsquo;utilise encore comme bo\u00eetier secondaire, notamment pour des prises de vue sp\u00e9cifiques lorsque je monte le 10-20mm, pour faire des photos en ultra grand-angle \u00e0 la Source de Spa-Francorchamps. Canon 5D Mark III Autrefois une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour la photographie sportive, ce bo\u00eetier full frame a certes vieilli, mais il offre encore une qualit\u00e9 d&rsquo;image remarquable malgr\u00e9 ses 200 000 d\u00e9clenchements. Ses limites commencent \u00e0 se faire sentir, notamment avec une rafale lente et une mise au point en live view d\u00e9pass\u00e9e. Canon R6 Mark II Actuellement, le R6 est mon bo\u00eetier principal. Acquis d\u00e9but 2025 pour pallier les faiblesses que je rencontrais avec le 5D, il faut dire que l&rsquo;\u00e9cart technologique entre ces deux appareils est de 10 ans. Un foss\u00e9 que l&rsquo;on ressent d\u00e8s les premi\u00e8res prises en main. Apr\u00e8s plusieurs mois d&rsquo;utilisation, le R6 r\u00e9pond parfaitement \u00e0 mes attentes : une rafale impressionnante \u00e0 +40 images\/sec en obturateur \u00e9lectronique, un live-view ultra r\u00e9actif, un autofocus avec suivi des voitures et d\u00e9tection des visages humain tr\u00e8s efficace, et une mont\u00e9e en ISO tout simplement remarquable. Les seuls petits reproches que j&rsquo;aurais \u00e0 faire sont : l\u2019\u0153illeton \u00e9lectronique qui emp\u00eache de v\u00e9rifier le cadrage sans allumer le bo\u00eetier, et l\u2019obturateur m\u00e9canique, dont le d\u00e9clenchement induit un l\u00e9ger d\u00e9placement, rend pratiquement impossible l\u2019obtention de fil\u00e9s nets. J\u2019ai \u00e9galement d\u00fb le coupler avec une bague d\u2019adaptation EF-EOS R pour pouvoir continuer \u00e0 utiliser l\u2019ensemble de mes objectifs EF, un ajout qui implique un peu plus de poids, et un peu plus de longueur. les objectifs Sigma 10-20mm F\/4-5.6 EX DC\/HSM Ce grand angle \u00ab\u00a0fish-eye\u00a0\u00bb est l&rsquo;objectif le plus ancien de ma collection. Je l&rsquo;utilise assez rarement puisque bien rares sont les circuits o\u00f9 les voitures ne passent qu&rsquo;\u00e0 2 m\u00e8tres du photographe. Il est cependant id\u00e9al pour les s\u00e9ances photos statiques, notamment pour capturer les habitacles. sigma 10-20mm canon 85mm Canon EF 85mm f\/1.8 USM Cet objectif est un vrai bijou pour les photos statiques, en pit lane ou pour les portraits. L&rsquo;autofocus est ultra performant, avec un bokeh magnifique. Malheureusement, je l&rsquo;utilise pas souvent puisque&rsquo;une focale fixe de 85mm perd de son int\u00e9r\u00eat lorsqu&rsquo;on dispose d\u00e9j\u00e0 d&rsquo;un 50mm qui offre des r\u00e9sultats similaires et d&rsquo;un 70-200mm bien plus polyvalent. Sigma 150-600 mm F\/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Achet\u00e9 en 2024, ce t\u00e9l\u00e9objectif est en phase de test dans mon mat\u00e9riel de photographie automobile. Avec l&rsquo;\u00e9volution des circuits, qui nous \u00e9loigne de plus en plus de la piste, avoir un vrai t\u00e9l\u00e9objectif est devenu indispensable. Bien que lourd et encombrant (ne rentre pas dans le sac), il offre une qualit\u00e9 d&rsquo;image impressionnante, m\u00eame \u00e0 600mm, malgr\u00e9 l&rsquo;effet de flou caus\u00e9 par la chaleur des circuits. Pour l&rsquo;instant, j&rsquo;en suis plut\u00f4t satisfait. Je l&rsquo;utilise essentiellement entre 400mm et 600mm sur les circuits qui n\u00e9cessitent une telle focale. Apr\u00e8s un an d\u2019utilisation, je note toutefois un manque g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de piqu\u00e9, particuli\u00e8rement perceptible par temps chaud. sigma 150-600mm Canon 70-200mm f\/2.8 L IS USM Consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme le Saint Graal des objectifs pour les photographes automobiles, il est d&rsquo;une polyvalence exceptionnelle. Que ce soit pour les photos en action ou en pit lane, il ne d\u00e9\u00e7oit jamais.
